The future is wild

The Guardian has a bleak vision of the future from the UK's Ministry of Defense. Among the highlights:

• Terrorist coalitions will develop across ideological lines to hit common targets.
• Global warming could cause another 'little ice age' in Europe.
• Muslim extremists may increasingly target China, which is becoming like a monolithic, atheist, capitalist superversion of everything they hate about the West.
• Genetically modified foods will create a zombie apocalypse, but nanotechnology will create grey goo that will neutralize the threat of the undead, and the two great fears of our time will cancel each other out. America will suffer no ill effects.
